Established in 1981, Pugh Computers are a close-knit team of 20 dedicated employees operating across three main areas: Software Licensing, Modern Workplace and Hybrid Meeting Spaces. Our Software Licensing business specialises in the education and charity sectors, with our more recent Modern Workplace and Hybrid Meeting Space business covering a broader customer base and are rapidly expanding.

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, technology-driven AV Solutions Specialist to join our AV team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate eager to apply their university skills in a dynamic work environment, or an experienced AV specialist. Candidates should be enthusiastic about technology, possess a good business acumen and be driven by success in what is a rapidly expanding sector. A commitment to delivering high quality customer service is paramount.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating opportunities by showcasing the art of the possible with our AV and Modern Workplace solutions, driving new business and growth through compelling demonstrations and strategic business development.
  • Developing and managing the delivery of solutions from conception to completion, in line with our high standards and client expectations.
  • Delivering impactful adoption & change management services for Modern Work and Meeting Space solutions, with a high focus on Microsoft 365 and Teams.
  • Following a structured process using a solution planning template, including conducting room surveys and establishing customer needs, particularly around interior design requirements, audio/acoustics, video/lighting, projection/display and sustainability.
  • Utilising state-of-the-art Microsoft Teams Rooms Systems, integrating AI technologies like voice control, identity recognition and transcription to transform video conferencing experiences.
  • Championing the growth of our AV business by leveraging Microsoft 365, interactive screens and cameras and speakers, and expanding our portfolio to include cutting-edge business signage and Teams telephony.
  • Conducting regular research and development of our AV solutions, staying on top of the latest advancements in AV technology to ensure solutions are current and future-proof.
  • Ensuring our AV and Modern Workplace solutions are designed and implemented sustainably, in line with eco-friendly business practices and global sustainability objectives, including lighting and blind controls to reduce carbon footprints.
  • Developing expertise in each area of AV and hybrid meeting spaces, with a focus on becoming industry leaders.
  • Achieving and maintaining certifications in line with vendor accreditation requirements and business needs, including Microsoft and other vendors.
  • Generating solution-based case studies that align with Microsoft’s Adoption and Change Management Template, showcasing our commitment to best practices.
  • Travelling to customer sites to provide face-to-face adoption & change management services, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, room surveys, installations, training and more.
  • Providing internal technical support and assisting with customer-facing technical support cases by email and phone.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Business and/or IT (suitable for recent graduates).
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, interactive screens, AV solutions and business signage solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams telephony is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong client relationships with honest and accurate advice.
  • A proven track record in business development and driving organisational growth.
  • A good head for figures, ensuring profitable buying and selling while providing value and excellent service to customers.
