Bloxx Tru-View Technology is the future of web filtering. It views the hidden depths of the Internet that other filters miss so that you can be entirely confident you have complete control over the web traffic through your network.
Tru-View Technology combines the best of conventional tools with new intelligent identification and analyses technologies to rapidly classify web traffic in real time.
As well as being more efficient at categorising illegal and offensive sites, Tru-View Technology has the capability to track disruptive ‘inoffensive’ traffic, such as shopping, travel and auction sites, which is especially important when it comes to maintaining productivity and organisational efficiency during working hours.
Tru-View Technology operates 24/7, meaning that the Bloxx database is fluid and current, rather than being based on out-of-date lists.

Categories
With 50 categories covering everything from dating to military to hacking, unique algorithms developed by Bloxx Researchers allow websites that aren’t in Bloxx’s database to be identified and categorised immediately. They are then blocked or allowed depending
on the user’s access rights to that particular category.

Sensitivity Manager
The Bloxx Sensitivity Manager allows you to adjust the sensitivity of Tru-View Technology. Each category
has a sensitivity slider which can be adjusted according to your organisation’s level of tolerance to the content in question. For example, you may wish to be quite aggressive in blocking violent material, but less proactive when it comes to property sites.

MALWARE BLOCKING
To give your network maximum protection, Bloxx stops spyware and viruses at the gateway and Bloxx Anti-Phishing blocks out even the most sophisticated
phishing attempts.

IM, P2P & FILE DOWNLOAD MANAGEMENT
Instant messaging and peer to peer blocking are integrated
into Bloxx appliances so that you can choose to control the associated productivity drain. You can choose to block or allow all IM and P2P applications or you can customise access to certain types.

Bloxx also includes a file download management feature which can stop potentially dangerous and bandwidth intensive files from being downloaded by group, user or type.

REPORTING AND MANAGEMENT

Bloxx’s Powerful Reporting
Bloxx’s integrated reporting tool lets you pull over 120 different types of report on the internet activity on your network enabling you to easily analyse users and problems. Completely flexible and user-friendly the reports can drill down and identify specific users and time periods, ranging from ‘Top Blocked Groups and Users’ to ‘Most Popular Categories’. This gives you invaluable real-time monitoring to see who is looking at what and when.
Data gained from reports can be stored within the Bloxx appliance for future reference and integrated with third party reporting packages providing further
flexibility and power.

Groups and Internet Policies
Bloxx allows you to create as many groups and Internet policies as you wish, but also comes with default groups and policies to enable quick set-up. Groups can be setup to have varying access rights, for instance, group 1 could be allowed to visit ‘travel’ sites at lunch but not any other time whereas group 2 could have full access to ‘travel’ sites at all times.

Full LDAP Support
No matter what type of network you run, Bloxx is easy to integrate and simple to maintain. To provide tight integration with your existing network, directory
structures can be imported automatically via the LDAP. NT Authentication and Open/IP Mapped Authentication are also supported.

Management Interface
Bloxx can be entirely and securely controlled through a web browser, making it very easy to manage from any location. You can also choose to upload your own ‘access denied page’ that appears when a user has been blocked from a website.

PROXY WITH ONBOARD CACHE
Bloxx appliances also function as a proxy with an onboard cache which secures, simplifies and speeds up Internet access. A Bloxx appliance will typically reduce Internet bandwidth utilisation by up to 50%, in addition web pages that ‘hit’ the cache will be returned instantly giving the perception of a much faster Internet connection.
