Sony Media Software for Schools

The COL approved "Sony Media Classroom Collection," a series of Key Stage 1- 4 curriculum activities and products to enhance ICT capability in schools through the use of Sony Media Software applications for music and video creation. Two unique collections have been created for primary and secondary schools to provide the right toolset for teachers.

Primary School Classroom Collection
The Primary School Classroom Collection consists of a curriculum pack and 3 Sony Media Software titles for 100 users:
Super Duper Music Looper™, ACID XMC and Vegas Movie Studio+DVD software. This collection of software includes fun and easy to use tools to introduce primary students to music and movie creation including hundreds of music loops, sound effects, clips and built-in audio recording.

Secondary School Collection
The Secondary School Collection consists of the DSEDU curriculum materials plus 4 Sony Media Software titles for 300 users: Sound Forge Audio Studio, ACID Music Studio, Vegas Movie Studio + DVD Platinum Edition, and ACID XMC. This collection provides the curriculum and software to incorporate video, audio and music creation in Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • KS3 - Explore structures and sounds, sequencing, direct midi interface, sampling and processing, multi-channel mixing, music creation, sound and video editing Cd and DVD writing
  • KS4 - The advanced funtionality for creating music, editing sound and editing video is ideal for a range of GCSE assignments.
