BUSINESS AND FOOTBALL TEAM POOL TOGETHER FOR A
PERFECT MATCH

A
local football club is celebrating following the
news that it has received a cash donation from
a Ceredigion-based software company.
Llanon
Football Club, a Division One side, has received
a cash boost from local company Pugh Computers,
one of the U.K's leading suppliers of software
to the education and voluntary sectors.
The
donation will go towards the building of the club's
new changing rooms, providing much-needed facilities
not only for the club but for the village as a
whole.
John
Williams, Chairman of Llanon F.C. said:
"This
is great news for the club. Not only will it benefit
the club but we see the facilities being used
by the school for sports days and other village
events."
He continues "The donation comes as a result
of fundraising efforts by the players who held
a pool marathon to raise money. Pugh Computers
kindly offered to match any fund-raising efforts
pound for pound."
Jeffrey
Pugh, Managing Director of Pugh Computers enthused:
"We
are delighted to be involved in this local community
project, especially as we have been based in Llanon
for the past 25 years. Everyone in the village
is giving something towards the scheme whether
it be their time or expertise. It's creating a
real sense of community spirit."
