NetOp
Remote Control 9.1
NetOp
Remote Control is the complete remote control solution
for professional users. It offers everything you need
for the service and support of your computers and networks:
from the completion of complex remote maintenance and
file transfer, through remote user support to networkwide
software and hardware inventory administration. All
of this comes under a single, intuitive interface, perfectly
protected by encrypted connections, sophisticated authentication
and comprehensive rights management.
|
New
features include:
- Remote
Smartcard login
Building on the the smart card authentication introduced
in version 9 it is now possible for a Guest to use a Smartcard
to authenticate and login to Windows on remote computers
with a NetOp Remote Control Host installed. This greatly
improves security and minimise the need for physical access
to server rooms.
- Presentation
mode
To assist the Guest user in explaining and demonstrating
something to the Host user the presentation mode enables
the Guest to transfer its screen to the Host. Using the
presentation mode you can avoid installing programs or transfer
files to the Host. To protect sensitive information the
Guest can mask off specific applications.
- Improved
speed for remote control of Linux systems
Windows Guest access to Linux Hosts have improved through
the implementation of a X-Window player making screen transfer
rates faster enabling a more smooth remote control of Linux
Hosts.
- Even
more platforms supported
NetOp Remote Control now supports Microsoft Vista in all
32 Bit versions. This applies to both Guest and Host modules
as well as the Security Server, Name Server and Gateway.
- Improved
software installation and distribution
NetOp Packn Deploy is a combined substitute
for NetOp Transform Editor and NetOp Deployment Utility
making it possible to prepare, pack and deploy NetOp modules
in one application. NetOp Packn Deploy is more versatile
and saves time in the deployment phase.
