Service
Release 1 of NME version 9.0 introduces Remote Management
for mobile devices and embedded Windows CE solutions.
Like Remote Management for Windows based computers you
now have full management capabilities on Windows Mobile
and Windows CE based devices. You can retrieve all available
information on disk drives including flash disks. You
can start and stop applications, processes and services.
The Registry can be manipulated and a full inventory
scan can be performed. NetOp
Mobile is based on NetOp Remote Control. With a complete
suite of functionalities, as well as superior documentation
and uncompromising security, NetOp Mobile lets you stay
ahead of future threats and challenges to mobile devices.

- Communication
– Supports
UDP, TCP, HTTP and uses Communication Manager and legacy
Dial-up Networking on cellular networks, WIFI and ActiveSync.
- Strong
encryption – protect sessions with up to 256-bit
AES encryption, 256-bit SHA HMACs integrity check and 2048-bits
Diffie-Hellman key exchange.
- Local
NetOp authentication – shared
password.
- System
authentication –
use local system account and password.
- Centralised
authentication –
The Host can use NetOp Security Server for authentication.
- Security
roles –
authorise allowed Guest actions on Host by determining security
role memberships. Security roles can be managed locally
or centrally via the NetOp Security Server.
- Help
request –
The Hosts can request help from multiple Windows Guests
using one-off Service Ticket or Help Service.
- Disconnect
Hotkey –
allows the Windows Host to disconnect the Guest(s) by pressing
a key.
- Stealth
mode – it is possible to hide the fact that the
device is running a Host module.
- Remote
Control –
transfer device desktop with full keyboard and mouse control
including compensation for different keyboard layouts.
- File
transfer – the
powerful, interactive, split-screen File Manager support
offers file transfer functionality with crash recovery,
genuine delta transfer, synchronise, cloning and scripting
features. Supports automated file transfer.
- Chat
– communicate online with Windows Guest users in
formatted, line based text mode.
- Remote
Management –
supports the powerful Remote Management feature with Manage
Disk Drives, Task Manager, Registry, Services, Inventory
and System Control.
- Run
program – supports the Run Program feature from
Windows Guest.
- Execute
command –
supports shut down and restart commands sent from Windows
Guest.
- Receive
message – supports
reception of messages sent from Windows Guest.
- Inventory
–
supports collection of hardware and software inventory for
asset management requested from Windows Guest.
- Event
logging -
the Host logs to NetOp Security Server or to local log file.
- Operating
system messages -
powerful capability for sending/receiving messages to/from
other applications running on the device.
- Wake-up
- can
wake-up at pre-defined hours and stay on for a certain number
of seconds for scheduled maintenance.
