keypoint 5.5

Keypoint is an easy-to-use Windows survey software application for helping you carry out the complete survey process, without the need to employ specialist outside consultants. Within a very short time of starting to use Keypoint survey software, you will be able to produce high-quality, professional surveys for training needs assessment and customer satisfaction surveys.

Keypoint survey software provides a simple to follow pathway through the entire process of conducting a survey: designing and creating the survey form; distributing the survey in printed or electronic form; collecting, entering and processing the responses; and finally analysing and presenting the results in tables and graphs, or exporting them to another software program such as a spreadsheet for further analysis.

New Features Include:

  • New user interface
Even easier to use and with more design working space than ever before. New sidebars are displayed only when you need them, leaving more space to work on designing your survey or presentation.
  • Open question coding assistant
Analysing open questions is a notoriously difficult thing to do so Keypoint version 5 now has an Open Question Coding Assistant. This tool will make it easy to create answer categories and to allocate answers to an appropriate category, therefore making it much quicker to produce valuable results in the form of graphs and tables.
  • Triple-A web surveys
Keypoint can now produce ‘Triple A’ compliant web surveys as specified by W3C guidelines on web accessibility surveys.
  • 360º surveys
A number of changes have been made to assist users who conduct 360º surveys, including a 360º Survey Analysis Wizard that allows users to produce meaningful graphs and tables in minutes.
  • Improved quick analysis wizard
The quick analysis wizard has been improved so users can produce a good analysis of their survey with a minimum of effort before they go on to fine-tune their analysis. This can be particularly helpful for those wanting to produce quick summaries while a survey is still ongoing.
  • Mail merge
Pre-populate paper and web surveys and use responses to automatically update the Keypoint address book.
  • Link to an external database
Removes the need to keep importing and exporting contact details by connecting the Keypoint address book to an external database using an ODBC driver. Changes to the database are then automatically reflected in the Keypoint address book and likewise changes to the address book are automatically applied to the database (although it can be set to read only).
  • Improved mixed mode surveys
Now that each version of a survey can have different answer labels it is even easier to conduct mixed mode surveys (eg. paper, web and telephone versions).
  • New range question type
You can now create questions that only requires labels at each end of the answer range, the rest can be left blank.
  • Plus many more...

Features Include:

  • Analysing open questions is a notoriously difficult thing to do so Keypoint 5 now has an Open Question Coding Assistant. This tool will make it easy to create answer categories and to allocate answers to an appropriate category, therefore making it much quicker to produce valuable results in the form of graphs and tables.
  • Keypoint files can now be exported to SPSS. This new facility means that should you need to, your survey can be exported for further analysis within SPSS.
  • Keypoint can now produce ‘Triple A’ compliant web surveys as specified by W3C guidelines on web accessibility surveys.
  • A number of changes have been made to assist users who conduct 360º surveys, including a 360º Survey Analysis Wizard that allows users to produce meaningful graphs and tables in minutes.
  • A new presentation table type has been added to expand Keypoint’s range of data analysis features.
  • Additional new graph types have been added to keypoint 5. These include Boxplots: to compare the distribution of values in each of several categories and provide a summary, Donuts and Scatter Graphs.
  • There is now an export to Word (.doc) available in Keypoint. Users can export survey designs or presentations and the layout of the Word document created will very closely resemble the original keypoint forms. Users can also print survey forms and presentations to PDF, for easy sharing within an organisation.
  • The Question Library from previous versions of Keypoint has been developed, extended and renamed as Asset Library. This facility can now be used to store much more than just questions. It can store whole pages, logos, clip art, text and more. This new Asset Library will make it easier for users to develop their own style sheet for surveys and ensure that everything produced reflects the appropriate organisational image.
  • The quick analysis wizard has been improved so users can produce a good analysis of their survey with a minimum of effort before they go on to one-tune their analysis. This can be particularly helpful for those wanting to produce quick summaries while a survey is still ongoing.
  • One of Keypoint’s unique features has always been its desktop publishing style approach to designing a survey. The page manager is a new tool that will help users make the most of this approach by helping create master pages and style sheets. This makes it easier for users to control the design of their survey forms and develop an organisational style.
