WinZip,
the original and most popular compression utility for
Windows, is a powerful and easy-to-use tool that quickly
zips and unzips your files to conserve disk space and
greatly reduce e-mail transmission time. The new WinZip
11.0 offers a thumbnail image view and automatic compression
selection, plus improved compression for audio files
(WAV) and the ability to open .BZ2 and .RAR files. WinZip
11.0 Pro adds expanded data backup functionality and
includes a new internal image viewer that allows you
to browse through multiple images within the Zip file.

Upload New and Existing Zip Files - Do you need to send
the Zip files created by your WinZip jobs offsite? Maybe
you need to backup your data to a remote server or send
sales reports to the regional office. WinZip makes it easy.Just
click the FTP button in the Job Wizard, enable FTP uploads,
fill in a few fields to tell WinZip where to send the file
(you can even browse to find the correct folder), and you're
done. Whenever your job runs, the resulting Zip file will
be automatically sent to your server using FTP.

Notification Functionality - Simply select your desired
notifications, specify the e-mail account information, choose
from the list of options, and WinZip does the rest. Whenever
your job runs, the Job Wizard will email the resulting Zip
and/or log file automatically.
- Easily
access WinZip and your recently used Zip files using the
WinZip Quick Pick taskbar tray icon. Installed to the Windows
Startup folder, Quick Pick is loaded and ready for use each
time you restart your computer.
- WinZip
makes short work of archiving your most important data.
A set of pre-configured data backup jobs, quickly accessible
from either the WinZip Wizard or the WinZip Classic interface,
locate and Zip data files from any or all of these locations
on your computer: My Documents: zips the contents
of your My Documents folder and all of its subfolders. Desktop:
zips the contents of your Desktop, including any folders
that are on your Desktop. Favorites: zips the contents
of your Windows Favorites folder and its subfolders. My
E-mail: zips your Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express
e-mail. My Documents, Desktop, Favorites, and E-mail:
combines all four of the above into one convenient Zip file.
You can also run custom data backup jobs that were provided
to you, and WinZip Classic users can quickly create their
own jobs.

the power of WinZip without the usual WinZip graphical user
interface. It allows you to use WinZip directly from the
command prompt and from batch (.BAT) files and script languages,
making it ideal for automating repetitive tasks.
